Shots fired in San Lorenzo, striking BMW containing four occupants
SAN LORENZO — Deputies are searching for a man who fired several bullets at a BMW sedan Monday afternoon in a residential area, injuring one of the car's occupants, authorities said. Neighbors reported shots fired at around 4:20 p.m. in the vicinity of Channel Street and Via Manzanas, in sight of Del Rey Elementary School. "I heard bang, bang, bang, bang," said a woman who lives on Via Manzanas and did not want to be identified. She said she was sitting at her dining room table when she heard the shots ring out in front of her house. "It was scary," she said. "I heard somebody yelling first and then I heard the shots. My husband thought they were firecrackers." According to Alameda County Sheriff's Sgt. Scott Dudek, the shooting occurred after a Ford Explorer cut off a BMW sedan on Channel Street.

N3: man killed as BMW veers off N3
The driver of a BMW apparently lost control of the vehicle and it rolled about 500 metres, breaking up as it went down a bank. According to the paramedics at the scene, the male driver was thrown out on impact. Two other vehicles were involved in the accident, but the two occupants sustained only minor injuries and were not transported to hospital. In another incident, a pedestrian was killed after being knocked down by a car on the N3 freeway. There was no respite for drunk drivers in KZN after roadblocks netted 104 people driving under the influence. Of these, 62 were arrested in Pietermaritzburg.
